Pot Holes in Leixlip??

16257119_sRecently Kildare County Council suggested taking €126,000 from the roads budget for Celbridge, Leixlip area to compensate for the loss of income due to reduced paid parking times in the towns.

This was greatly opposed by local councillors who would have refused to approve the budget.

As a result, it has been decided  not to deduct this money and the total allocation for the roads budget is €460,000 – This is combined with the money allocated from the local property tax.

With all this money for roads upgrade and repairs, there shouldn’t be another pot hole in Leixlip… :)

Also on the matter of parking, Cllr. Frank O’Rourke has requested FREE PARKING FOR CHRISTMAS in the town from 19th December to 2nd January. This will enable local people to park and shop locally which in turn benefits the local businesses. We’ll keep you updated on this one!
